Alteryx tool

 Alteryx is an ETL tool (Extract, transform and load), which helps in cleaning and modifying the data for further analysis and for creating visually appealing and knowledge driven dashboards and reports. 

Alteryx also provides a platform for analysis into the data and creating reports at any point of time, for sharing it with the senior management and board of directors, so that they can reach out a conclusion and take necessary steps to expand the business and tackle anomalies, if any. It also help them to see the impact of any policy change in the real time and help them adapt to the best model for business growth.

Alteryx can use various incoming data streams like excel, csv, data-sources like Oracle, MS SQL server for compiling up the data, creating a workflow using them and then the report in the easy readable format (with report formatting options available).

Alteryx really helps in creating automated reports (using macros) at the scheduled frequency (with the help of Alteryx Scheduler, a service of Alteryx) and push it over the mail to be send to the respective stakeholders. Reporting tools play a very crucial role in this respect. 

Alteryx scheduler is a very powerful feature which helps in automating whatever it is that we have build on Alteryx. Also, macros (interface tools) plays an important role here. One important point to note here is that when we are scheduling a workflow having macros in it, we'll first have to export the workflow as Alteryx workflow package (.yxzp file) and then schedule it as per need.
